Gender Gap in Self Assessment by the Character Lab
In Post 41, I wrote about taking a self-assessment recently and being less-than-satisfied with my own results. The very next morning, I read this post.
The blog post is fairly simple, so it’s worth taking the time to link to the study that demonstrates a gender gap in self-assessment. In this case, it was tasks related to math and science and girls as young as 11 years old responded in ways that affirm the gender gap.

What I really like about this article isn’t the title, but the discussion of 3 categories of collaborative interaction: decision making (see Post #18), creative solutions & innovation, and information sharing. This is great for anyone leading groups and/or complex change.

It’s the last week of school and life this blog 😜 is day-by-day right now. Chances are that you are an educator reading this, so you know what I mean. But….there was this ONE time last week where 3 posts were scheduled and ready to go. Boy, did that feel great! I’m planning to “get ahead” and again once the school year ends.
