#51: In the Groove (Reflections on 51%)

100 Posts in 100 Days

“When you get a groove going, time flies.”

Donald Fagen (American musician)

“100 Posts in 100 Days” was a bit of an impulsive move for me.  The day I dreamed it up was the day I started.  I’m usually more of a planner.

But I thought I needed a “stretch goal” and I thought 100 would be doable.  Here I am, on the heels of yesterday’s “You must believe you can do it in order to do it” post, over half-way done.  Over.  Half.  Way.  I think Donald Fagen was right, get in a groove and time flies.  When I started this writing journey, “100” felt like an uphill target.  Writing post #51, I suddenly feel like I’ve hit the peak.  I’m looking back in awe of how quickly these 51 days have gone and I’m looking ahead with a new question.

In the last few days, my wondering and planning has started to change. Instead of “what will I write next” I’ve been wondering “what will I do after the 100th post”?  Will I keep writing and posting?  What kinds of topics, what kinds of schedules?  Will I try something else (eg, a podcast or vlog)?  I don’t really know the answer…yet.  But I’ve got 49 more days of grooving to figure it out.

POST 50 UPDATE:

If you read yesterday’s post, you might be interested to know that Dad and his partner came in 2nd in the Father’s Day tourney yesterday. Power of positive thinking! ⛳️
