#70: Reflections on 70%

100 Posts in 100 Days

Each “decade” post in this 100 Posts in 100 Days series has been a reflection.  So far, they have taken on the form of a self-assessment or lessons learned.  Today’s version takes on 3 new approaches:  contentment, contemplation, and conversation.

Contentment:

This post is going to BARELY make it… and I’ve been moving west.  So, if I was home in Brasil, it wouldn’t make it on time.  I wrote words similar to this one other time.  In fact, it was in the last “Reflections” post on Day 60.  But, I am content with that because on every occasion where I have barely made it, I have also spent the entire day with family that I rarely see.  And in the spirit of “living in the moment” of posts 67 and 68, I am completely content with this scenario.

Contemplation:

And, with 70% done, I’m not looking back as carefully today because I am looking forward.  I am thinking about “what happens after 100 days?”  I know that I will not keep up with a-post-a-day schedule.  I also know that I want to keep processing and thinking.  I’m considering:

  • Will I post weekly?
  • Will I write a monthly newsletter?
  • Will I try a podcast of vlog?
  • Should I pick a topic or an “angle” and stay with it for a period of time?
  • What else should I consider?

Conversation:

Over these past 70 days, I have posted here, I have published on Edutopia, and I have gained a number of new followers on social media.  I have also been invited to write for a couple of other publications.  I am grateful for all of that.  So, if you, dear reader, are so inclined, comment today and tell me what you would be interested in reading/viewing/listening to after the first 100 days.

  1. Posting weekly is certainly doable. It gives you a choice – collecting ideas for a week and then writing about what matters the most, is most interesting, or answers current questions and issues. Besides the weekly post you can occasionally post “pulse” posts and reflections. I don’t have any specific topic requests. I like to read what you choose to share. 🙂

    1. Thanks for the feedback, Terje! You are helping to reinforce some ideas I was thinking of. I hope all is well with you. And, THANK YOU for reading. 🙂
